When Slow Living Starts to Feel Rushed (And What I’m Changing)

When Slow Living Starts to Feel Rushed (And What I’m Changing)

A quiet start to the day

Lately, I’ve been sitting in front of my computer more than I’d like to admit.

Not writing. Not creating art. Not even enjoying a quiet cup of tea.

Editing.

The behind-the-scenes of creating videos

What started as a joyful way to document my slow, everyday life slowly turned into something that feels… a little rushed.

A little heavy.

A little disconnected from the very life I was trying to share.

When I began making weekly videos, I was excited. I loved the idea of capturing small moments—cooking, simple outings, little routines at home. It felt meaningful, like preserving pieces of my life in a gentle and creative way.

But over time, I started to notice something.

Filming takes time. Editing takes even more. And posting every week began to feel like a quiet pressure sitting in the background of my days.

Instead of simply living, I found myself thinking:
Should I film this? Did I get enough footage? I need to finish editing…

And somehow, without realizing it, my slow life didn’t feel quite so slow anymore.

What I’ve been missing the most are the things that don’t ask anything of me.

The creativity I’ve been missing

My art projects, half-finished and waiting patiently.

Reading and Writing, just for the joy of it.
Moments that are not captured, not shared—just lived.

Those are the moments that truly feel like mine.

So I’ve been reflecting.

Why did I start all of this in the first place?

Not to keep up with a schedule.
Not to chase views.
Not to feel rushed.

I started because I wanted to celebrate a quieter, more intentional way of living.

And I still do.

This doesn’t mean I’m stepping away from creating videos.

But I am choosing to slow it down.

Instead of posting every week, I’ll be sharing videos twice a month.

Giving myself more space in between—to live, to create, to breathe.

To pick up a paintbrush without thinking about filming it.
To write without a deadline.
To enjoy my days as they come.

I believe that slow living isn’t just about what we show.

It’s about what we protect.

Our time.
Our energy.
Our creativity.

And sometimes, protecting those things means doing less… not more.

So this is me, gently returning to that intention.

Creating at a pace that feels right.
Sharing what I love, without rushing through it.

And maybe, in that space, there will be more to give—not less.

It truly means more than you know.
